LAS VEGAS, NV – According to recent reports, NBA star DeMarcus Cousins has listed his lavish 20,000 square-foot Las Vegas mansion, located several miles west of the famed Las Vegas Strip, for a whopping $8 million.

Cousins, who is currently on the injured list this NBA season with a torn ACL – a serious knee injury that typically requires surgery and an extended recovery time – had previously purchased the residence in 2017 for $6.5 million.

The mansion, situated upon approximately two acres and offering breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains, is loaded with amenities, including a circular driveway with a covered entrance – known as a porte-cochere driveway – as well as an indoor basketball court, a movie theater, a billiards room, a room for listening to music, and an extensive wet bar.

In addition, the two-floor estate features an astonishing 10 bedrooms and 12 bathrooms, serviced by an elevator in case residents or guests don’t care to utilize the stairs.

The backyard boasts of a large landscaped lawn with a resort-style swimming pool that includes a slide that connects with a second pool; all of this has a deck overlooking it from the home’s second floor.

Guests can even take advantage of a dedicated cottage situated in the backyard that has its own kitchen, reports say.

Nicknamed “Boogie”, Cousins was selected in the 2010 NBA draft by the Sacramento Kings. In his first season with the Kings, Cousins was named to the NBA All-Rookie First Team, and from 2015 to 2018, he was named an NBA All-Star. He is also a two-time gold medal winner as a member of the United States national team, winning his first in 2014 at the FIBA Basketball World Cup and his second in 2016 at the Rio Olympics.

Cousins was most recently signed by the Los Angeles Lakers, although he was released from his contract while sidelined with his current knee injury without ever having played a game for the team in the current season.

LAS VEGAS, NV – The former chairman and CEO of MGM Resorts International, Jim Murren, has put his Las Vegas mansion – dubbed “Skyspace” – up for sale to the tune of $10.5 million, according to recent reports.

Skyspace is a 13,000 square-foot home situated on 1.5 acres within the Summerlin community and golf club, offering views of the Las Vegas Strip via a series of wall-to-wall windows. It has four bedrooms, a separate one-bedroom guest house, and was constructed a decade ago based on designs by well-known Los Angeles-based firm Marmol Radziner.

The mansion was created with a reverence for art and philosophy; there are several corner spaces that allow for solitary reflection, indoor bamboo and pine trees, and a Zen garden outside the main bedroom laden with multiple pathways that could take upwards of 45 minutes to traverse. The house also contains numerous amenities, including an indoor basketball court, movie theater, wine cellar, pool, spa, and a huge open-concept kitchen.

But the highlight is a large art installation from where the home derives its name- “Skyspace.” A “sensory experience,” it utilizes high-tech equipment to create the illusion of being in space by making use of natural light provided at both sunrise and sunset. The equipment for this experience is not part of the home’s $10.5 million asking price, but is available for purchase separately, reports say.

Mr. Murren, who resigned from MGM in February 2020, has stated that he and his wife are planning on remaining in Las Vegas but simply wanted to downsize to a home more suitable for their needs, as apparently Skyspace afforded them more space than was necessary.

The $10.5 million asking price for Skyspace ranks as one of the priciest ever in Las Vegas; currently, the most expensive is a mansion – also located in Summerlin – that was purchased by famed magician David Copperfield for $17.55 million in 2016.

LAS VEGAS, NV – According to reports, Steven Wynn, a real estate businessman and art collector known for his involvement in the luxury casino and hotel industry, has listed his mammoth Las Vegas mansion for sale for a whopping $25 million.

Wynn purchased the mansion – located at 1717 Enclave Court in Summerlin near Town Center Drive and Summerlin Parkway – just over two years ago. The estate comes in at 13,500 square feet with six bedrooms and nine bathrooms, situated on a street that is known as “billionaire’s row” for its many mansions and high-priced properties.

Wynn’s mansion, which recent benefitted from a $16 million renovation project, features a plethora of amenities including a game room, wine closet, gilded doors, silk carpeting, a butler’s pantry, and a full wing dedicated to a live-in caretaker. There are also extensive security features, including infrared security cameras monitoring the grounds and a backup power system in case of power failure.

Famed magician David Copperfield owns a neighboring mansion, a 31,000-square-foot estate that he purchased in 2016 for $17.55 million, the highest price ever paid for a Las Vegas mansion at the time; obviously, if Wynn’s mansion sells for its advertised price, that would set a new record.

The sale was announced to the public via a release put out by listing broker Ivan Sher of Berkshire Hathaway Home Services Nevada Properties.

This is one of the finest homes available in the country,” the release says. “The current owner completely reimagined the space, creating a timeless experience with incomparable finishes and museum-quality art protection and display.”

Wynn’s ownership of the mansion is not referred to in the release, but according to public records Wynn purchased the property in March 2018 for $13 million. At the time he had just resigned from his company after being accused of sexual misconduct; Wynn denied all allegations.

LAS VEGAS – NV – Property Brothers is a reality television series starring identical twin brothers Drew Scott and Jonathan Scott. Drew is a real estate expert who scouts neglected houses and negotiates their purchases and his brother, Jonathan, is a licensed contractor who then renovates the houses. Together, the Property Brothers help families find, buy, and transform fixer-uppers into dream homes on a strict timeline and budget.

With their show broadcast in over 150 countries, Drew and Jonathan Scott are basically household names at this point. Riding high on their current success, the duo are now testing the waters for their next entrepreneurial endeavor- “Property Brothers” branded homes, and the first one going on the market is located just outside of Las Vegas, Nevada, with the current asking price being a cool $5 million. 

The concept behind the brand – dubbed “Dream Homes by Scott Living” – is the collaboration between Drew and Jonathan and local developers that will result in high-end, luxury abodes, according to a statement on their official website. The brothers clearly have faith in the worth of their brand name, given the fact that they are asking such a hefty price for their work when the Las Vegas home actually isn’t even completed yet; far from it, in fact. The ground has been officially broken and construction has only just commenced, with an estimated finish date of January 2020.

However, based on the brand strength of the Property Brothers name – coupled with the publicly-released plans for the house – the project is sure to attract many curious potential buyers. The house is slated to have five bedrooms and eight-and-a-half bathrooms, in addition to a game room, wine storage, parking for up to 11 cars, wet bar, and a two-story “man cave.,” all packed onto a .56 acre plot of land. 

Test renders have been released of the exterior of the home, although interior renders have yet to be made available. Once completed, Drew and Jonathan Scott are expected to attend the official housewarming event in January.

LAS VEGAS – Famous Las Vegas landmark “A Little White Wedding Chapel” has been the site of many quick celebrity weddings, and according to reports it’s now going up for sale by owner Charlotte Richards, who has owned and run the establishment since it first opened its doors 68 years ago.

A Little White Wedding Chapel – which employs ten ministers and whose current asking price is $12 million – boasts of having joined over 1,000,000 couples in lawful matrimony; however, no statistics are available on how many of those couples have remained together. The Chapel is especially well-known for its “Drive-Thru Tunnel of Vows” wedding chapel, where eager couples can be married while on-the-go.

A Little White Wedding Chapel is located on South Las Vegas Boulevard, prime real estate with currently skyrocketing land values. The property is represented by Steve Khalilzadegan of Savi Realty, who noted in a press release that the 15,802 square-foot facility has over 222 feet of Las Vegas Boulevard frontage on a total of one full acre of property. The $12 million price tag for such a location, Khalilzadegan insists, is a steal for such an iconic Las Vegsa landmark.

Richards originally purchased the Chapel – at the time only consisting of a single room – in 1951, and soon expanded the facilities to include gown and tuxedo rentals, a florist, performing Elvis impersonators, and, of course, the infamous Drive-Thru Tunnel of Vows mentioned above.

During her time with A Little White Wedding Chapel, Richards has presided over the marriages of celebrities such as Frank Sinatra, Judy Garland, Rita Hayworth, Mickey Rooney, Michael Jordan, Britney Spears, James Caan, Patty Duke, Mary Tyler Moore, Paul Newman, Bruce Willis and Demi Moore. The Chapel has been featured on such TV shows as WWE Raw, Supernatural, Friends, Good Morning America, and The Real World: Las Vegas.
