Spring Valley, Nevada

Spring Valley is an unincorporated town and census-designated place in Clark County, originally formed in May 1981 by the Clark County Commission. Covering roughly 35.5 square miles, it lies about two miles west of the Las Vegas Strip. It is governed under county supervision with input from the Spring Valley Town Advisory Board, a group of local residents appointed by the Clark County Commission.
Historically, the land was part of the Stardust International Raceway until the late 1960s, when developers began building residential neighborhoods in the area. In May 1981, residents petitioned for town status to better guide local planning and zoning, officially creating Spring Valley.

Today, Spring Valley is a well-established suburban community featuring a mix of single-family homes, apartments, and newer developments. As of the 2020 census, the population is approximately 215,600, making it one of the most populous unincorporated communities in Nevada.
