Siena is a desirable 685 acre guard gated retirement community located approximately 20 minutes from McCarran Airport and the Las Vegas Strip.  This development of more than 2,000 homes was built by Sunrise Colony Corporation, the organization that built most of the homes in Red Rock Country Club.  Siena construction originally began in 1999 and was mainly completed in 2005.

This age restricted community – described by some as “spectacular” – offers residents many amenities including walking and biking trails around Lake Siena as well as a number of streams and waterfalls.  The 39,000 sq. ft. community center provides a choice of social and club activities including the 7,200 sq. ft. Sunrise Ballroom and stage facility.

Approximately one-third of the homes front on the Siena Golf Course, an 18 hole championship course designed by Schmidt-Curley, and voted Nevada’s 2010 Course of the Year by the Nevada Golf Course Association.  Siena Golf Club offers a restaurant with outdoor patio for informal dining of breakfast, lunch, dinner or Sunday brunch.

This age restricted community also features a 15,900 sq. ft. Health and Fitness Center  with indoor and outdoor pools and spas, and cardiovascular and weight equipment as well as tennis courts, horseshoe pits and bocce courts.

The community consists of 17 different models.  Townhomes:  Portofino series offer 4 models in sizes ranging from basic 1,040  to 1,378 sq. ft.  Free standing homes include Milan series offering 3 models from 1,235 to 1,573 sq. ft., Cosmo series has 5 models ranging from 1,656 to 2,156 sq. ft. , Trieste and Florence series offering 4 models from 2,149 to 2,713 sq. ft. and Verona series featuring the largest models ranging from 3,010 to 3,192 sq. ft.

Three of the four townhome models offered an optional 2^nd bedroom or den, 2 baths, covered rear patio and 2 car garage standard.  The largest townhome offered 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, covered rear patio and 2 car garage with den included.  The Milan free standing homes offered 2 car garage and covered patio standard, 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, great room style with den provided in largest model.

The Cosmo free standing homes featured 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, den standard with 2 car garage and covered patio.  Some models offered formal living room, optional 3^rd bedroom, great room style, formal dining room and optional 2^nd master bedroom.

The Trieste and Florence series free standing homes offered 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, den standard with 2 car and golf cart garage  and covered patio.  Some models featured optional 3^rd bedroom and optional exercise room.

The Verona series offered 2 bedrooms, 2 or 3 baths + den or casita with 3 car garage and great room, private entry courtyards and several covered patio areas.

As of this writing, homes at Siena have sold for $170,000 to $610,000 during the period of the past three months with median selling price at $295,000.
